Following that I downloaded and installed Windows 8.1 and all relevant updates. After this had completed I downloaded and installed LOTRO from the LOTRO website (totallu ignoring Steam) logged in and the game ran with no errors for two days. Lotro not working for windows 10 this is annoying the living. out of me, when ever I start up the game theres not issues but after a few seconds the game curser changes back to the windows curser and when I try to click on something it wont work, for example: I double clicked on the character select and I started up a game from my desktop. I am receiving the error 'Game Error 201: Can't open the data files. Check that they exist and that you have permission to write.
I'm running Windows 10 Home 64 bit and I'm having a problem with Directx in a particular game, I tried running Dxdiag to see if there's any problems listed and when I run it the following error message comes up:
Error: problem getting input information.
Does anybody know a way of fixing this please?

I guess while I've opened this thread I could see if anyone can help me with my Directx problem. My graphics card is an Nvidia Geforce GTX645 and the drivers are all up to date. The game I am having problems with is The Lord Of The Rings Online. I have asked for help on the game's forum and their support team but nobody seems to be able to help me. Sometimes when I try to log in to the game it runs with no issues, I can play for a while then log out and then log back in again later with no issues, I can sometimes do this multiple times a day. My issue is that sometimes when I try to log in I get the following error message:
Error 103
Could not initialize Direct3d. Please ensure that Directx9.0c [Dec 2005] or higher is installed. [103]
I have tried downloading and reinstalling the game numerous times and seen that it does apparently try and install Directx9.0c although I assume since I'm running Windows 10 then my Directx version is going to be 11.x or 12.x
